On August 19, AION officially unveiled the RAY7, the first model in its new RAY series developed for younger consumers. Positioned as a large all-electric coupe sedan, the RAY7 combines HUAWEI DriveONE technologies with an advanced electric powertrain, chassis, and intelligent driving systems.

The RAY7 features a nearly 5-meter body and a 2,920 mm wheelbase, with a coupe-inspired low-profile design. Through 14 aerodynamic optimizations, the vehicle achieves a drag coefficient of 0.22 Cd, helping reduce energy consumption and improve driving efficiency.

The model adopts a HUAWEI DriveONE integrated electric drive system with silicon carbide technology and a highly integrated drive architecture. AION claims energy consumption of up to 12 km per kWh and a CLTC driving range of 700 km. The vehicle also uses an integrated CATL battery pack with a lightweight aluminum structure, while AION Magazine Battery 2.0 technology and 24-hour vehicle and cloud-based monitoring are designed to enhance battery safety.

Chassis technology is another major highlight. The RAY7 features a chip-level integrated drive and braking architecture and is equipped with HUAWEI DriveONE EMB brake-by-wire technology. The system delivers a claimed braking response time of 78 milliseconds and a 100 km/h stopping distance of 33 meters. Combined with HUAWEI iTRACK dynamic torque distribution, a front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension system, FSD damping, and front and rear stabilizer bars, the RAY7 aims to balance handling performance with ride comfort.

For intelligent driving, the RAY7 is equipped with 27 sensors, including a 192-line LiDAR and three 4D millimeter-wave radars. Its end-to-end AI driving system supports urban navigation assistance and advanced parking functions, including autonomous parking in narrow, irregular, and complex spaces.

With advanced electric powertrain efficiency, integrated chassis control, intelligent driving hardware, and a long-range battery system, the AION RAY7 represents AION's latest effort to expand its presence in the premium intelligent EV sedan market.
